Vin Decoding
Vin Decoding refers to the ability to take the uniquue 17 digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) assigned to a vehicle and break it down into information about that vehicle. At a minimum one expects to "decode" a VIN into year, make and model
But MasterWare does not more. It returns information about tire size, vehicle weight, wheelbase, anti-lock breaking system and vehicle options.
How VIN Decoding Works in MasterWare
When adding a vehicle to MasterWare, simple type in the VIN Number
After entering the VIN click on the button labeled VIN. You will see a display similar to the following:
Click on the Vehicle Icon. Your information will be entered into the vehicle database and the year, make, model and engine will be entered for you.
